Story

Why I Do What I Do
As a first responder, you dedicate your life to serving and protecting others, often at the expense of your own mental and emotional health.
As the daughter of a retired California Deputy Sheriffs sergeant, whose cousin is also in law enforcement, I have witnessed the toil this chosen career can have on a person. That is why my approach acknowledges the pressures, traumas, and stressors inherent in your profession, offering empathetic and effective therapy solutions to help you thrive both on and off the job. I am not the sit still and have no reaction therapist. I will laugh, joke, cuss and be expressive in our sessions. I will be authentic with you through and through.
I understand the importance of confidentiality and trust, which is why I prioritize creating a confidential and non-judgmental environment where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Whether you're grappling with the aftermath of a critical incident, managing stress, coping with PTSD, or seeking support for relationship challenges, my goal is to empower you with the tools and strategies you need to cultivate resilience and regain a sense of balance in your life.
Through evidence-based therapeutic modalities I collaborate with you to develop personalized treatment plans that address your needs and goals. It's time to prioritize your mental health and well-being so that you can continue to serve your community with strength, compassion, and resilience. Take the first step towards healing and contact us today to schedule your confidential consultation. Remember, you're not alone on this journey.
About the Practice
I currently work full time seeing clients from 8-4:30pm separately from my private practice. This is why my availability is limited to evenings and weekends. If you need another alternative time, please reach out and I will see what I can do! I do not take insurance. I feel strongly about this, although I know it can hinder some from utilizing my services. Most people new to therapy are unaware that in order for a clinician to bill insurance companies, they have to give their clients a diagnosis. I believe my clients are more than a diagnosis. Especially if that will be tracked by insurance agencies. If you would like therapy but find the out of pocket cost keeps you from doing so, let's chat and see how we can work together.
